[hebräisch »Buchrollen«], Singular Megịlla die, -, Bezeichnung für die in der hebräischen Bibel in einer Gruppe zusammengefassten Bücher Hohes Lied, Ruth, Klagelieder, Kohelet und Esther, die im jüdischen Gottesdienst als »Festrollen« an Passah (Hohes Lied), am Wochenfest (Ruth), am 9. Aw, dem Gedenktag der Zerstörung des Tempels (Klagelieder), am Laubhüttenfest (Kohelet) und am Purimfest (Esther) gelesen werden. Im engeren Sinn wird als Megilla das Buch Esther bezeichnet.
